Baldur's Gateシリーズの開発元として日本でもお馴染み，BioWareが開発したファンタジックRPG最新作「ネヴァーウィンター・ナイツ」が，セガより日本語版として発売されることが発表された。ゲーム自体は既に発売されていたものの，英語版ということで二の足を踏んでいた人には嬉しいニュースだろう。
　「ネヴァーウインター・ナイツ 〜日本語版〜」では，プレイヤーはいくつものクエストをこなしていくことによって，その背後に隠されている，大都市ネヴァーウィンターに這いよる邪悪と対決することになる。ファンタジーの要素を満載した，RPGファンには見逃せないゲームだ。
　しかも，ゲームに付属のシナリオ作成ツール「オーロラ・ツールセット」も日本語化するということなので，ゲーム発売後は日本語オリジナルシナリオが多数登場してくることも予想される。
　発売は今冬ということで，価格や日本語版の動作環境などが一切不明だが，すでに日本語公式サイトが「ここ」にできているので，まずはブックマークしておこう。ちなみに海外公式サイトは「ここ」で，forGamer.netで過去にお伝えした「ネヴァーウィンター・ナイツ」関連情報は「ここ」ですべて把握できるので，合わせてチェックしておこう。（Asakura）
