Vivendi，CGアニメ映画「Ice Age 2」の新作ゲームを発表

　Vivendi Universal Gamesは，20世紀フォックスのCGアニメーション映画「Ice Age 2: The Meltdown」をベースにしたゲーム，「Ice Age 2: The Meltdown Video Game」を，PCと各コンシューマ機用として，2006年春に発売すると発表した。
　映画「Ice Age 2」は，氷河期の地球を舞台に，マンモスのマニー，ナマケモノのシド，サーベルタイガーのディエゴといった動物達の活躍を描いた「アイス・エイジ」の続編で，北米では2006年3月31日に公開される予定。
　長かった氷河期もついに終わりを迎え，暖かい時代へと移行し始めた。しかし，地上を覆い尽くしていた氷が溶け出し，マニー達の住む谷に洪水の危機が訪れる。3匹の動物達は，仲間に危険を知らせて谷から脱出させるため，冒険の旅に出る，というストーリーらしい。
　ゲーム自体の公式サイトはまだできていないようだが，映画版「Ice Age 2」の公式サイトはすでにオープンしている。予告編ムービーなども公開されているので，チェックしてみよう。（朝倉哲也）
