FPSファン期待の新作「Prey」，デモ版が間もなくリリースに

　Doom 3エンジンを採用した，新感覚FPSとして発売が待たれる「Prey」のデモ版が，6月21日午後9時（アメリカ太平洋夏時間。日本時間で6月22日午後1時）に，GameSpotで公開される。

　Preyは，アメリカンネイティブの伝承などを取り入れたSF設定のFPSで，Doom 3エンジンによる美しいグラフィックスと，重力の制限を無くし上下の区別がないマップでの戦闘などの新要素が加えられた，FPSゲーマーが発売を待ち望んでいるタイトルの一つ。

　このデモ版では，約1時間のゲームプレイが可能で，2種類のマルチプレイマップも付属しているとのこと。これ一つでかなり楽しめそうだ。

　日本では，リリース時間が木曜日の昼頃なので，週末を楽しく過ごすにはもってこいだろう。
　GameSpotに用意された，Preyデモ版用のページにはカウントダウンタイマーが設置されている。あと何時間でダウンロードできるようになるかが一目で分かるので，ぜひ“お気に入り”に登録しておこう。（朝倉哲也）
