雲行きの怪しい「Stargate Worlds」，最新ショットを発表して健在をアピールか

　Cheyenne Mountain Entertainmentが開発中の，SF MMORPG「Stargate Worlds」の最新スクリーンショット2点が，公式サイトのGalleryコーナーで公開された。


　「Stargate Worlds」は，テレビや映画で人気の高いスターゲートの世界を冒険するMMORPGで，本作の世界設定のベースとなっているのはテレビドラマ版「Stargate SG-1」と「Stargate: Atlantis」の両作品。
　2006年に開発がアナウンスされており，現在は公式サイトにでβテスターの登録受付が行われているなど，一見すると開発は順調に見えている。
　最近では，北米フォーミュラレースチームのメインスポンサーとなったことが報じられているが，つい先日にはデータセンターの賃金未払いで訴えられたというニュースが飛び込んでくるなど（関連記事），依然として資金に関する不安要素は残っているようにも取れる状況が続いている。

　そんな中，最新スクリーンショットが公開されるのは，本作に期待しているファンにとっては明るい要素といえるだろう。スクリーンショットでは，Tau'riの基地Omega Siteの廃墟跡で，Tier 4 Ablative Armorを装備した兵士が，Tier 5 PVK Advancedサブマシンガンを構えているシーンが写しだされている。
