PS5＆PC向けメレーアクション「Godfall」のキャラクター“シルバーメイン”を紹介する最新トレイラーが公開

　Gearbox Publishingは，2020年末の発売を予定している三人称視点のメレーアクション「Godfall」(PC / PS5)に登場するプレイヤーキャラクター“シルバーメイン”を紹介するティザートレイラーを公開した。


　昨年12月に，PlayStation 5のローンチタイトルになることを伺わせる「PS5＆PC向けの発売」がアナウンス（関連記事）されたものの，それ以降あまり多くの情報が公開されていない本作は，伝説の宝刀やアーマーを求めて戦い続けていく“ルートスラッシャー”と銘打たれたアクションRPGだ。

　今回の映像で紹介されているシルバーメインは，過去の動画などにも登場した3人のキャラクターのうちの1人で，ライオンをモチーフにしたような風貌を持ち唸り声をあげている。

　解説によると，彼を含むプレイヤーキャラクターは“ヴァロプレート”と名付けられた神々の化身のような存在であるらしく，「勇猛（ライオンハート）な者たちよ，シルバーメインとして降臨せよ！」と述べられているあたりに，その世界設定の一端が垣間見られる。


　開発を手掛けているCounterspy Gamesは，カリフォルニア州サンフランシスコ近郊のエミリービルに拠点を構えており，「ゴッド・オブ・ウォー」や「Horizon Zero Dawn」「Diablo III」「タイタンフォール 2」「Star Wars バトルフロント」といったタイトルに関わったメンバー75人ほどで構成。新興のディベロッパとしては大所帯なチームとなっている。

　PC版はEpic Gamesストアでのリリースを予定している本作。最大3人のCo-opモードにも対応しており，ハードコアなアクションながらもルートアイテムの獲得が楽しい作品になることに期待しながら，続報を待ちたい。
