プレイシーン満載！ 「OFP：DRAGON RISING」，開発スタッフによる解説ムービーを4GamerにUp

　現代戦FPSの期待作「OPERATION FLASHPOINT: DRAGON RISING」（PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360。以下，DRAGON RISING）。その最新ムービーが公開されたので，さっそく4GamerにUpした。



　「Fog of War」と題された今回のムービーは，先週公開された，マルチプレイモードを紹介するムービー（関連記事）に次ぐもので，ゲームの開発スタッフが，本作で用いられているグラフィックス関連の技術などを解説するという内容だ。そのムービー名からも想像がつくように，主に煙や砂ぼこり，もやなどの表現手法が，プレイシーンを交えて説明されている。

　ムービーの前半では，炎や煙をはじめ，銃弾や，下降するヘリコプターによって巻き上げられる砂ぼこりの表現が確認できる。煙の立ち上り方は変化に富んでおり，スタッフのこだわりぶりがよく分かるはずだ。
　ムービー後半のライティングエフェクトに関する説明では，多数の効果を適用することで一つのシーンを描いていることが確認できる。時間や場所，空気のかすみ具合などにより，画面に漂う雰囲気がずいぶん変わってくる点に注目してほしい。
