シド・マイヤーの新作は鉄道経営シム「Sid Meier’s Railroads!」
Civilizationシリーズで知られる，有名ゲームクリエイターのシド・マイヤー氏の新作「Sid Meier's Railroads!」が発表された。
本作は，蒸気機関車が鉄道の主役だった時代を舞台に，路線を敷設して一大鉄道網を作り上げ，鉄道会社を発展させていくという，Railroad Tycoonシリーズの流れを汲む鉄道会社経営シミュレーション。マルチプレイにも対応している。
現在，WorthPlaying.comでは，スクリーンショットやアートワークなど9点が公開中だ。
開発元はFiraxis Gamesで，発売元は2K Games。2006年秋の発売を予定している。なお，価格は未定だ。（朝倉哲也）
