EQとEQ2の新拡張パックとその発売日が，Fan Faireで正式発表

　Sony Online Entertainmentは，「EverQuest」の拡張パック「EverQuest: Seeds of Destruction」を2008年10月21日，「EverQuest II」の拡張パック「EverQuest II: The Shadow Odyssey」を同11月18日に発売することを，ラスベガスで開いたイベント「Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire」において正式発表した。



　EQの拡張パック第15弾となるSeeds of Destructionでは，プレイヤーがコントロールできるNPC「Mercenary」が登場。そのほか，レベルキャップの引き上げ（85まで）や，20のゾーンの追加などが行われる予定だ。
　なお，この拡張パックには，これまでにリリースされた14作の拡張パックに含まれるすべてのコンテンツが収録されているほか，オンラインカードゲーム「Legends of Norrath: Oathbound」のスターターデッキやブースターパックもセットになっている。

　もう一方のThe Shadow Odysseyは，EQ2の拡張パック第5弾。20以上のゾーンが実装されるほか，約20の目標達成型ダンジョンの追加や，リプレイアビリティを高める新ミッションシステムの採用などが行われる。Seeds of Destruction同様，Legends of Norrathのスターターデッキやブースターパックが収録される予定だ。
