ライブドア，FPS「SWAT4」日本語マニュアル付きを4月に発売

　本日（3月11日）ライブドアは，米国のSWAT（警察特殊火器戦術部隊）をテーマにしたタクティカルFPS，「SWAT4」を2005年4月に発売すると発表した。内容は日本語マニュアル付き英語版で，価格は5980円（税込）。

　SWAT4は，撃って飛んで跳ねての"発奮系"FPSではなく，トム・クランシーシリーズの「レインボーシックス」のような"ほぼワンショットワンキル"の緊張感の中，容疑者の確保を目指すタクティカルアクション。前作「SWAT3」はゲームオブザイヤーを獲得するなど，名実共に"一級の特殊部隊ゲーム"として認知されている。



　本日同社が発表したのは本作を"発売する"という告知のみだが，SWAT4はシングルとマルチの両方のデモ版（記事は「こちら」）がリリースされているため，ゲームについて知りたければ実際にデモ版をプレイしてみるのが一番手っ取り早いだろう。
　英語版だけにセールス面では苦戦しそうな気もするが，このところ新作に恵まれていない日本国内の特殊部隊ファンには嬉しいニュース。続報に期待してほしい。（Gueed）
