カプコン，「GTA IV」の日本語版をPS3とXbox 360で10月30日に発売

　カプコンは，Rockstar Gamesが開発した「Grand Theft Auto IV」（邦題 グランド・セフト・オートIV）の日本語版を，10月30日に発売すると発表した。対応プラットフォームはPLAYSTATION 3とXbox 360で，価格は8390円（税込）。

　Grand Theft Auto IVは2008年4月に欧米で発売され，販売本数が発売初週で600万本を超えたというヒット作だ。ニューヨークを彷彿とさせる架空都市Liberty Cityを舞台に，アメリカンドリームを求めてやってきた主人公，Niko Bellicの成り上がりストーリーが描かれる。
　海外で発売された英語版を手に入れ，Liberty Cityでブイブイいわせていた人もいると思うが，やっぱり日本語で遊べるのは素直に嬉しい。登場人物が多く人間関係も複雑になストーリーなので，「よく分からないけど，とりあえず撃っておけ」的な対応をすることは減るだろう。
　
　以前から噂されていたGrand Theft Auto IVのPC版は，海外では11月に発売されることが決まった。この勢いで日本語版もPCでリリースしてほしいものだ。
