「The Amazing Spider-Man 2」のムービーが公開に。新システム「Hero or Manace」に注目

　Beenoxが開発し，Activisionからリリース予定となっている「The Amazing Spider-Man 2」（PC / PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 3 / Xbox One / Xbox 360 / Wii U / 3DS）のムービーが公開された。


　日本ではアメリカより1週間ほど先の4月25日に劇場公開される映画版「アメイジング・スパイダーマン 2」は，クモの糸を自由に操る能力を得た主人公ピーター・パーカーが，徐々に超人的な能力を行使することへの責任を感じるようになっていく姿を描いている。ヴィランには，体中から放電するエレクトロや，怪力の半獣ライノが登場し，ピーターはやがて旧友であり宿敵のハリー・オズボーンが経営するオズコープにまで行き着くことになるという。


　そのゲーム版となる「The Amazing Spider-Man 2」は，基本的に映画のストーリーに沿って展開されるようだが，ゲームシステムはオープンワールドとして構成されたニューヨークの街を散策できるというものであるため，さまざまなヴィランが登場するなど，コンテンツが拡充される模様だ。
　今回公開されたムービーでは，クレイヴン・ザ・ハンターがナレーションを行っており，敵対した過去がありながらも，スパイダーマンの能力を開花させ，「究極の狩人」になるべく育て上げる師匠のような役回りであることが明らかにされている。


　なお，現在知られているところでは，この「The Amazing Spider-Man 2」には新しく「Hero or Manace」（英雄か悪人か）というシステムが搭載される予定。これはプレイヤーの行動が，逐一ニューヨーク市民の評判へと換算されていくというもので，街角を通り過ぎるたびにNPCたちが手を振ってくれるのか，はたまた罵詈雑言を浴びせてくるのかは，プレイヤー自身に掛かっているといったところであろうか。
　前作は日本で正式にリリースされなかったが，マーベルコミックスのファンなら注目せざるを得ない新作であろう。
