サイバーパンクな世界でのサイコホラー「>observer_」の日本語対応パッチが公開

　ポーランドのBlooper Teamは，発売中の「>observer_」（PC/PlayStation 4/Xbox One）のバグフィックスを含む最新パッチを各プラットフォーム向けに公開し，日本語と簡体中国語への対応を行った。

　サイバーパンクの世界をテーマにした本作は，カイロンという大企業に支配されている2084年のポーランドの南部都市クラクフを舞台に，特殊警察のベテラン刑事，ダニエル・ラザルスキーとなってゲームを進めていくホラーアドベンチャーだ。
　ダニエルは神経心理学の知識を持つ専門家で， ドリームイーターと呼ばれる注射器のようなデバイスを使って，容疑者や被害者の脳に埋もれる記憶にアクセスできるという特殊能力持っている。そんな彼が，スラム街で失踪した息子を追ううちに狂気の世界へ足を踏み入れてしまうことになるという物語が展開する。


　リリース前に予告されていた日本語対応が延期されたことを残念に思っていた人も少なくないと思うが，今回のパッチで字幕とインタフェースが日本語化されたことにより，以前よりずっとストーリーにのめり込みやすくなったはずだ。「Layers of Fear」を作ったデベロッパらしい，人間の生々しい狂気を描き上げた本作。涼しくなった秋の夜長にサイバーパンクな世界に入り浸ってみるのもよいのではないだろうか。
