狩猟シム「Way of the Hunter」の無料DLC“Aurora Shores”が近日リリース。最新トレイラーが公開に

　THQ Nordicは，狩猟シム「Way of the Hunter」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）にアラスカのマップを追加する無料の大型DLC「Aurora Shores」を近日中にリリースするとアナウンスし，その最新トレイラーを公開した。



　本作は，オープンワールドで構築されたアメリカやヨーロッパの美しい大自然の中でのハンティング生活を体験できる，狩猟シミュレーションゲーム。「Aurora Shores」ではアラスカをモデルにしたマップが追加され，新米の「Wildlife Trooper」（野生生物監督官）として，この地域の自然保護や生態系の管理をすることになる。

　新マップでは，氷河が岩肌を覆う「Nianuk Rise」という山岳地帯から，北方林の「Aivuk Rainforest」，そしてその中央にある大河で挟まれた草原地域まで，さまざまな環境を再現。ヒグマの最大亜種であるコディアックヒグマや，同じくヘラジカとしては最大級のルーズベルトエルクといった大型動物に加え，アカギツネやアラナミキンクロ（カモの1種），ハイイロオオカミなど，アラスカを代表する14種類の野生生物が追加される。


　配信日については，動画が公開されたYouTubeページの概要欄に「近日中に配信されます――おそらく2023年2月23日にも」と思わせぶりな表記がなされており，この日に配信されるのは間違いなさそう。日本語対応も行われているゲームなので，気になる人はチェックしておくといいだろう。
