「Ghostrunner」のスタジオによる新作「Valor Mortis」のリリースが2026年秋に決定。怪物が跋扈する19世紀の欧州が舞台の一人称視点ソウルライク

　Lyrical Gamesは本日（2026年4月9日），インディーゲームイベント「Triple-i Initiative」で，新作「Valor Mortis」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）を2026年秋にリリースすると発表し，同作の最新トレイラーを公開した。


　世界的なヒットとなった「Ghostrunner」シリーズで知られるOne More Levelが開発する本作は，一人称視点で展開されるソウルライクアクション。

　舞台となるのは19世紀，ナポレオン・ボナパルトによる征服が行われた後のヨーロッパだが，そこは謎の疫病が蔓延し，異形の怪物が跋扈するダークファンタジー的な世界として再構築されている。プレイヤーは，戦場で命を落とすもナポレオンの肉体なき声に導かれて蘇った兵士，ウィリアムとなって，この世界を探索するようだ。


　トレイラーでは，グラップリングフックや壁走りを駆使して複雑な地形を走破する，「Ghostrunner」を彷彿とさせる移動アクションや，右手のレイピアで精密なパリィを繰り出したり，左手の銃や魔法のような力で戦況を打開したりといった戦闘シーンを確認できる。

　ウィリアムの左手に黒いあざのようなものが一瞬浮き出るシーンも収められているが，これが疫病の進行を意味するのだとしたら，いずれ彼も怪物のように自我をなくしてしまうのだろうか。そのあたりの行く末も気になるところだ。
