　指輪物語を題材とするファンタジーRTS，「The Lord of the Rings：The Battle for Middle-Earth II」の最新スクリーンショット27点が，GamersHell.comで一挙掲載された。

　「The Battle for Middle-Earth」の続編となる本作では，エルフ，ドワーフ，ゴブリンの3勢力が新たに登場。また，城を建設したりカスタマイズしたりできるほか，海がマップに加わったことで海戦も楽しめるなど，さまざまな点でパワーアップが施されている。
　なおゲームの公式サイトには，スクリーンショットやムービートレイラーが公開されている。（朝倉哲也）
