　「The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II」は，映画「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング」三部作をベースにしたRTSシリーズの最新作（今作では原作小説「指輪物語」のライセンスも取得）。その最新ゲームプレイムービー（91.3MB：1分53秒）が，公式サイトで公開された。
　巨大なユニットが，人の背丈ほどもある岩を軽々と放り投げて建物を破壊するシーンを収めたムービーで，歩兵や騎兵の細かい動きも確認でき，なかなか見ごたえがある。（朝倉哲也）
