「Warhammer 40K：Dawn of War II」の動作環境が確定，発表に

　SF RTS「Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II」の動作環境が，ゲームの公式掲示板において発表された。最低動作環境と推奨動作環境は以下のとおり。

最低動作環境
OS：Windows XP SP2/Vista SP1
メインメモリ：1GB（XP）/1.5GB（Vista）
CPU：Pentium4/3.2GHｚ以上（シングルコア），またはデュアルコアプロセッサ
グラフィックスチップ：NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT，またはATI Radeon X1600以上
グラフィックスメモリ：128MB以上
HDD空き容量：5.5GB

推奨動作環境
OS：Windows XP SP2/Vista SP1
メインメモリ：2GB
CPU：Intel Core 2 Duoシリーズ，またはAMD Athlon 64 X2 4400＋

　「Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II」は，SFとファンタジー風な要素がミックスされた世界設定になっており，Warhammer Onlineのハイファンタジーとは趣を異にしている。

　第41千年紀という現在よりはるかな未来，銀河系全域を舞台とする激しい戦争が勃発していた。宇宙に進出していた人類の前に，OrcやElderといったエイリアンが現れ宇宙の覇権を賭けた戦いとなってしまったのだ。プレイヤーは，その戦いの最前線で指揮を取り，長く続く戦いに終止符を打たねばならない。

　本作の開発は「カンパニー オブ ヒーローズ」のRelic Entertainmentで，公式サイトが公開されている。なおβテストの予定もあるようで，海外時間の1月8日木曜日に詳細が発表される予定となっている。
