2016年6月発売予定の「Deadlight: Director’s Cut」に，追加要素としてSurvival Arenaモードが搭載
Deep Silverは，2012年にPCとXbox 360向けにリリースされた2DアクションのHDリメイク，「Deadlight: Director’s Cut」（PC/PlayStation 4/Xbox One）の最新トレイラーを公開した。映像では，次々に押し寄せてくるゾンビの波状攻撃を撃退するリメイク版の新モード，“Survival Arena”が紹介されている。
オリジナル版の「Deadlight」は，1980年代のシアトルを舞台に，主人公のランドル・ウェインが，わずかな武器とアイテムを探しつつ，“シャドウ”と呼ばれるゾンビ達と戦っていくというアクションゲーム。B級ゾンビ映画をモチーフに，色調を抑えた映像とシルエットとして表現されるキャラクターがシュールな印象を与える，アートワークの巧みなダウンロード専用タイトルだった。
本作を開発したのは、オリジナル版と同様，スペインのマドリードに本拠を置くTequila Worksだが，今回のリメイク版には，「Pixel Piracy」などを開発したオランダのAbstraction Gamesが協力している。
トレイラーで紹介されている“Survival Arena”では，プレイヤーは波状攻撃を仕掛けてくるゾンビと戦うことになるが，相手の侵攻スピードを落とすため，木箱などのオブジェクトを効果的に配置していくという，シングルキャンペーンにあるパズル要素を生かしたゲームシステムになっているようだ。
「Deadlight: Director’s Cut」は，海外では2016年6月21日のリリースが予定されている。今のところ日本語版の予定はないが，ムービーを見て，ぜひ遊んでみたいと思った人も少なくないだろう。
