「マジック：ザ・ギャザリング」の世界観をベースにしたアクションRPG「Magic: Legends」の新情報が公開

　Perfect World EntertainmentとCryptic Studiosは，2019年12月に制作が発表された新作アクションRPG「Magic: Legends」（PC / PS4 / Xbox One）の新たな情報を公開した。これは，北米のゲーム情報誌Game Informerの特集記事に掲載されたもので，合わせてプレイの模様を収めたトレイラーも公開されている。

　「Magic: Legends」は，絶大な人気を誇るWizards of the Coastのカードゲーム「マジック: ザ・ギャザリング」の正式ライセンス作品で，悪の浸食から世界を救うために活動する魔導士集団「プレインズウォーカー」を主人公にした作品だ。12枚のアクションカードでデッキを組み，絶え間なく襲ってくるクリーチャー達と戦っていくことになるという。
　トレイラーではディアブロ風の派手なリアルタイムアクションが紹介されているが，最大3人のプレイヤーで協力するCo-opが基本になるという。ただ，発表では「MMO」が謳われていることから，より多くのプレイヤーが参加できたり，別のグループと功を争ったりといったことが可能になっているのかもしれない。


　Perfect World Entertainment傘下のCryptic Studiosは，これまで「Neverwinter」などを開発してきたベテランチーム。従来作と同様，本作もPerfect World Entertainmentのオンラインポータル「Arc」でプレイすることになると思われるが，現時点ではSteamのストアページなどは公開されておらず，続報が待たれるところだ。
　公式サイトでは現在，β版の参加者登録も行われているので，ファンならチェックしておこう。
