PC「Farming Simulator 22」，新たなマルチプレイモード「Arena」と「Bale Stacking」のオープンβテスト開始。小麦を収穫して高く積み上げろ

　スイスのゲームメーカーGIANTS Softwareは，販売中の大規模農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」のPC版において，マルチプレイモード「Arena」と「Bale Stacking」のオープンβテストを開始した。

New Multiplayer Modes: Arena & Bale Stacking Enter Open Beta!

　Steam版では，ライブラリで「Farming Simulator 22」の設定画面を開き，eスポーツβブランチに申請すれば誰でも参加できる。GIANTS Softwareで購入した場合，事前のアップデートが必要になるが，手順は簡単とのこと。詳しくは，公式サイトを参照してほしい。


　トレイラーが公開されている「Arena」モードは，最大3人のプレイヤーによる2つのチームが，好きな農業機械を選んで小麦を収穫し，まとめて俵（Bale）を作り，できるだけ早く自分の倉庫に届けることを競うというもの。また，「Bale Stacking」は，できた俵を慎重に積み上げ，その高さを競うモードになるようだ。


　2019年にプロリーグの「Farming Simulator League」を設立し，年間10回，賞金総額25万ユーロ（約3700万円）という規模の大きなトーナメントを開催するなど，過去数年にわたり，農業をテーマにしたeスポーツという異色の事業に力を入れてきたGIANTS Software。「Arena」モードは「Farming Simulator League」の種目でもあるので，プロゲーマーを目指す人はチームを組んでリーグに参加してみるのも面白そうだ。

　なお，コンシューマ機版では，6月の新シーズン開始に合わせて「Arena」モードと「Bale Stacking」モードを実装する予定だという。
