「Left 4 Dead」の新DLCと，「Left 4 Dead 2」のデモ版が登場か

　サバイバルFPS「Left 4 Dead」（PC/Xbox 360）で新しいDLCが開発中であること，また同作の続編であり，11月17日に発売となる「Left 4 Dead 2」（PC/Xbox 360）には，発売前のデモ版の計画があることが分かった。


　ロンドンで行われたValveのプレスイベントにおいて，同社のマーケティング担当Doug Lombardi氏が，海外ゲーム情報サイトのComputer and Video Gamesに語ったところによれば，ValveはLeft 4 Dead向けの新DLCを開発しており，内容は明らかにされなかったものの，2009年夏の終わり頃にはリリースしたいという意向とのこと。
　また，Left 4 Dead 2に関しては発売前にデモ版をリリースする計画があるようで，さらに発売後にフルゲームをウイークエンド限定でフリープレイできるようにもしたいともコメントしている。

　Lombardi氏は，「L4Dのサポートはこれからも続ける」と強調しており，その背景にはL4D2のあまりにも早すぎる発売に関して，ファンの間で高まった不満の声もありそうだ。
