Rockstar Games開発のストリートレースゲーム「Midnight Club: Los Angeles」「Midnight Club: L.A. Remix」日本語版が発売決定

　スパイクは，Rockstar Gamesが開発を手がけたレースゲーム，「Midnight Club: Los Angeles」（Xbox 360/PLAYSTATION 3）と「Midnight Club: L.A. Remix」（PSP）を今冬に発売すると発表した。なお「Midnight Club: Los Angeles」はRockstar San Diegoが，「Midnight Club: L.A. Remix」はRockstar Londonが開発を手がけている。

　本作は，緻密に再現されたLos Angelesが舞台となる。リリースに「ロード時間、レーストラック、そして何よりもルールに縛られないこのゲームは、プレイヤーを最速のレースワールドに誘います」とあるが，Rockstar Gamesの公式サイトを見ると，オープンワールドのLos Angelesを好き勝手に走り回れる，オープンワールドタイプのゲームとなっている模様だ。
　また，「Midnight Club: Los Angeles」「Midnight Club: L.A. Remix」いずれも，多種多様なマシンをカスタマイズすることが可能だ。公式に使用許諾を得た実在のマシンをチューニングしたり，実在する豊富なパーツを組み合わせてインテリアやエクステリアをドレスアップしたりできるとのこと。

　両作とも発売は“今冬”ということで，年は越してしまうかもしれないが，そう遠くない未来に日本語版をプレイできそうだ。レースゲームが好きな人は，続報を期待して待とう。
