「Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3」のリリース日が2017年1月27日に決定。最新ムービーも公開

　CI Gamesは，スナイパーにフォーカスしたFPSシリーズの最新作「Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3」（PC / PS4 / Xbox One）を2017年1月27日に発売すると発表し，合わせて同作の最新ムービーを公開した。


　最新のCryENGINEによって開発が進められている本作の舞台は，複数の軍閥によって内戦状態になった東欧のジョージア（グルジア）。主人公ジョナサン・ノースが，アメリカ海兵隊から失踪した弟を追って敵地に潜入するというストーリーになっている。

　本作ではオープンワールドが採用されており，プレイヤーは広大なマップ内を移動しながら，内戦に乗じて勢力拡大を企む武装集団を始末しつつ，ストーリーを進めていく。パルクールやアップグレード可能なビークルを使っての移動も可能で，公開されたムービーでは，相手の背後から忍び寄って攻撃するステルス風メレーアクションも確認できる。
　また，ドローンを利用して上空から偵察するといった要素もあり，プレイヤーはミッションごとに地勢や状況をよく把握して，狙撃ポイントを探す必要があるようだ。


　当初は2016年第4四半期のリリースが予定されていた「Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3」。年末商戦から外れてしまったのは残念だが，累計550万本というシリーズの最新作だけに，リリースを楽しみにしておきたいところだ。
