人気ホラーゲームの続編「Layers of Fear 2」が2019年5月28日にリリース。豪華客船の中でアドリブ演技を強要されるハリウッド女優が主人公

　ポーランドのBloober Teamは，2016年にリリースされて話題となった一人称視点ホラーゲームの続編となる「Layers of Fear 2」（PC / PS4 / Xbox One）を，2019年5月28日に発売すると発表した。パブリッシングを担当するのはGun Mediaで，すでに公開されているSteamストアページによると，現時点では日本語化は行われていないようだ。


　本作の舞台は映画のセットとして貸し切られた豪華客船で，そこに招待されたハリウッド女優が主人公となる。スピーカーから「いくつかのシーンは演技で行うものではありません」などと一方的に話しかけてくる謎の映画監督から指示されるまま，さまざまな仕掛けのある船内で起こる出来事を体当たりで体験していく。

　どこまでが映画で，どこからが妄想なのかが次第に分からなくなってくるような不安な体験していくうちに，女優は自分の過去の記憶を呼び起こし，どんな役回りを演じるべきなのかを見つけ出していくことになるという。



　連絡船の中は不気味なマネキンがあちこちに設置され，ほかの俳優や撮影スタッフがいるのかどうかも分からない。豪華なレストランや甲板，薄暗い下層部分など，船内にはさまざまなシチュエーションが用意され，海の上ということもあって逃げられない恐怖がしっかりと演出されているようだ。

　また，音楽は前作のほかにも「Seven: The Days Long Gone」や「Kholat」などを手がけたアルカディウス・レイコウスキ（Arkadiusz Reikowski）氏の作曲によるもので，ブルガリアのソフィア・セッション・オーケストラが演奏を担当している。
