プロゲーマー・ウメハラ氏が「HyperX」とのスポンサー契約を締結。Red Bull，Twitchに続く3社目のパートナーに

　米Kingston Technologyは本日（2016年12月1日），同社のゲーマーおよびオーバークロッカー向け製品ブランド「HyperX」と，プロ格闘ゲーマー・梅原大吾氏（以下，ウメハラ氏）とのスポンサード契約が締結したと発表した。これにより，ウメハラ氏はRed Bull，Twitchに続く3社目のパートナーを得たことになる。

　リリースによれば，今後ウメハラ氏は，「HyperX Cloud Stinger」を初めとした同ブランドのヘッドセット製品を着用して試合に臨むとのこと。しかし，契約自体はブランド全体に及ぶようなので，もしかするとウメハラモデルのメモリモジュールやSSDが登場する可能性もないではない。
　ウメハラ氏は「これまで，グローバルにe-Sports業界に大きく貢献してきたブランドとパートナー提携できることを，とても光栄に思います。」と語っているので，今後の展開にも期待したいところだ。

　ちなみにウメハラ氏は，北米時間の12月2日にスタートする「Capcom Cup FINALS 2016」出場のため，現在渡米中であるという。同大会でも，HyperXはオフィシャルスポンサーとなっていることもあり，さっそくHyperXブランドのヘッドセットを着用した氏の姿が見られそうである。ウメハラ氏の活躍共々，楽しみにしておこう。
