赤ちゃんさえも守れるタレットは一家に一台必要なロボット。Valve，「Portal 2」に登場するハイテク企業Aperture Scienceの販促用ビデオ第3弾を公開

　Valveが，1人称視点のパズルアクションゲーム「Portal 2」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）の最新プロモーションムービー「Turrents」を公開した。ムービーは，同作および“Half-Life”シリーズに登場する架空のハイテク企業Aperture Scienceが，“投資家向けに”制作した販売促進用ビデオシリーズの3本め。第1弾，第2弾と合わせてチェックしてほしい。

　すでに販促用ビデオシリーズではお馴染みとなっているAperture Scienceの最高責任者，Cave Johnsonの解説で進められる今回のビデオでは，どんな状況下でも冷静な声がキュートなタレット（Sentry Turret）達が主人公になっている。元々，軍事用に開発されていたタレット達が，今（？）では一般家庭のセキュリティロボットとしても売り出されているというから意外な話だ。迷彩柄など，オーナーの好みに合わせてさまざまなカラーリングを選べるらしいが，もちろん研究施設で実験に利用されるのは，白ベースの“あの”タレット達だ。


　日本でも，サイバーフロントのPC版および，エレクトロニック・アーツのPlayStation 3版 / Xbox 360版の発売が決定する（関連記事）など，ローンチを前にかなりの盛り上がりを見せるPortal 2。ゲーム本編では，またこのタレット達に悩まされることになるだろう。
