「Gears of War 3」の発売が2011年秋に変更。当初の予定から約半年の延期に

　マイクロソフトは，Xbox 360用アクションシューティング「Gears of War 3」の全世界での発売を，2011年秋に変更すると発表した。


　本作は，2007年に第1作が発売された「Gears of War」シリーズの最新作にして，最終章となるTPSだ。プレイヤーは主人公のマーカス・フェニックスとなり，地底から突如出現したローカスト軍に立ち向かう。
　当初の予定では，本作の発売日は2011年4月7日とアナウンスされていたので，約半年の延期ということになる。延期の理由は，本作を来年の年末商戦に向けた話題を生むタイトルとして位置付けたいとのことだ。延期となってしまったのは残念ではあるが，1年後の今頃はGears of War 3で盛り上がっていることを祈りつつ，発売を楽しみに待とう。
