サッカー日本代表として世界の頂点へ！　さらにJリーグモードを追加収録した「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014 蒼き侍の挑戦」が登場

　KONAMIの定番サッカーゲーム「ウイニングイレブン」のシリーズ最新作である「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014 蒼き侍の挑戦」（PS3/PSP/ニンテンドー3DS）が2014年5月22日に発売される。
　本作は，2013年11月に発売された「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014」（PS3/PSP/ニンテンドー3DS）の全ゲームモードに加え，新たにサッカー日本代表の戦いを体験できる「ジャパンチャレンジ」モードと「J.LEAGUE」モード※を追加収録。まさに“完全版”といった内容になっている。

※「J.LEAGUE」モードはPS3版とニンテンドー3DS版のみ収録

　世界の大舞台に臨む日本代表チームのメンバー23名がいよいよ発表され，日本中のサッカー熱も最高潮に達しようとしているところだが，ここでは発売日を間近に控えた本作の新規コンテンツをあらためて紹介しよう。

「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014 蒼き侍の挑戦」公式サイト

　「ジャパンチャレンジ」は，サッカー日本代表として世界のナショナルチームが集結する「インターナショナルカップ」の激闘に臨むモード。アジアの強豪国がひしめく“アジア地区予選”から参加することも可能だ。
　なお，予選のレギュレーションは，全10チームがA/Bブロックに分かれるリーグ戦。各ブロックの上位2チームに入るか，3位のチームはプレーオフに勝利することで本大会進出となるという過酷な戦いが待っている。
　そして，本大会では全32チームが世界の頂点を目指し，予選リーグと決勝トーナメントに挑むことになる。我らがSAMURAI BLUEの戦いを一足早く体験できるというわけだ。


　チーム全体を率いる「チームモード」では試合中に選手を操作するだけでなく，監督として自分だけの日本代表チームを選出することができる。もちろんメンバー候補となるのは，Jリーグや海外リーグに所属する日本人選手で，その数は1000人を超える。実際の日本代表に再現してもいいし，贔屓のJクラブからごっそり代表チームに選手を送り込んでもいいのだ。
　なお，メンバー選考時はソート（並べ替え）機能が搭載されているものの，絞り込みはできない。1000人以上のリストからお目当ての選手を探すのは，なかなか骨の折れる作業だが，そこは代表監督ならではの苦労として乗り越えてほしい。


　一方，「プレイヤーモード」は一人の選手だけを操作することになる。本作に収録されているすべての日本人選手のほか，新たにオリジナル選手を作成したり，「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」モードで育てた選手を選んだりすることも可能だ。日本代表はチームではあるが，選手同士は限られたポジションを争うライバルでもある。試合出場のチャンスで実績を積み重ねながら，チームを世界の舞台に導こう。

　さらに“日本サッカーの聖地”として，数々のドラマを生み出してきた「国立競技場」が追加されている。同競技場は今年7月に解体を予定しており，56年の伝統を持つ“国立”の姿はしばらく見ることができなくなるが，日本サッカー界の発展を見守ってきた聖地で戦う意義を噛み締めておきたい。

ちなみに「ジャパンチャレンジ」は，「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014」の追加DLC「ジャパンチャレンジパック」として800円（税抜）で配信されている。一刻も早くSAMURAI BLUEの戦いを体験したい人は，こちらの購入を検討してもいいだろう

　そして「J.LEAGUE」では，J1/J2リーグの全40クラブのエンブレムやユニフォーム，1000人以上の所属選手を収録。ゴールデンウィークの過密日程を消化したが，いまだ群雄割拠の様相を呈している2014シーズンを実際の試合日程に沿って再現できるのだ。


　ちなみに，収録データは2014年2月3日時点のJリーグ公式登録に基づいているため，今季開幕前のデータとなっている。「ウチのクラブに○○選手がいない！？」といったケースがあるかもしれないが，PS3版については今後のオンラインアップデートにより，選手リストが更新されるとのこと。もちろんエディット機能を活用すれば，新しく選手を作成することもでき，さらに国内外の全クラブ間で選手の入れ替えや加入，放出が可能だ。


　また，Jリーグ版「マスターリーグ」も搭載されており，J1/J2リーグ戦やヤマザキナビスコカップ，天皇杯，J1昇格プレーオフに加えて，AFC チャンピオンズリーグと「クラブインターナショナルカップ」が登場。つまり，Jからアジア，そして世界一のクラブを目指すことが可能なのだ。さらに本作では，海外クラブの所属選手を移籍加入させることができるようになっているのも嬉しいポイントだろう。
　なお，残念ながら各クラブのホームスタジアムは収録されていないが，スタジアム名のエディットは可能なので，「毎試合コナミスタジアム」という状況は避けられるようになった。


　世界中のナショナルチームやクラブチームを収録した「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014」に新たなゲームモードを追加した本作は，あらゆる層のサッカーファンが楽しめる大ボリュームのタイトルと言えそうだ。この夏，サッカー日本代表と共に世界の大舞台に挑戦してみてはいかがだろうか。
