Co-opアクション「Warhammer 40,000: Darktide」の最新トレイラーが公開に。PC版のプレオーダーも開始

　Fatsharkは，最大4人でプレイする新作Co-opアクション「Warhammer 40,000: Darktide」（PC / Xbox Series X）の最新トレイラーを，ゲームイベント「gamescom 2022」に合わせて公開するとともに，2022年11月30日に正式ローンチするPC版のプレオーダーを開始した。

　Games WorkshopのミニチュアTRPG「ウォーハンマー40,000」を正式ライセンスした「Warhammer 40,000: Darktide」は，インぺリアムの巨大都市テルティウムの地下世界を混沌に陥れようとするカオスのカルト教団に立ち向かうため，最大4人の「はぐれ者」（Rejects）たちで構成された民兵組織「ガウンツ・ゴースト」が結成されたというストーリーが展開する。


　プレイヤーは，パワーハンマーを手にした審問官の侍者“アコライト”である「Zealot」，護衛兵の特攻隊員だった「Veteran」，屈強な「Ogryn」，そしてサイキックな魔力を操る「Psyker」という，キャラクタータイプから選択してプレイできる。今回公開されたトレイラーでは，こうした祖型から容姿や手持ちの武器を自由にカスタマイズして，ミッションに挑む様子が紹介されている。



　Co-op型アクションシリーズでは前作にあたる「Warhammer: Vermintide 2」（PC / Xbox One）と比べると，銃器の利用による中距離戦は増えているものの，これまで多くのファンに支持されてきた“メレーアクションの心地良さ”を失わないためにも，銃器もしくはメレーのどちらを使っても楽しめるように調整されていることが，以前の取材（関連記事 ）で明らかにされている。


　「Warhammer 40,000: Darktide」のSteamストアページでプレオーダーも始まっており，スタンダード版に加えて，複数のデジタルアイテムを入手できる「Imperial Edition」も販売されている。インタフェースと字幕も日本語化されるとのことなので，参戦予定の人は今からチェックしておくといいだろう。
