「Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier」，ゲームに登場する近未来兵器を紹介する最新トレイラーを公開

　Ubisoft Entertainmentは，北米では2012年5月22日に発売されるTPS「Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）において，ゲーム内に登場するさまざまな近未来兵器を紹介する新たなトレイラーを公開した。


　本作は，近未来を描いた作品で，拡張政策を開始したロシアに対抗するため，アメリカの特殊部隊「ゴースト」が，パキスタン，ノルウェー，アフリカなどで秘密工作を行うという，スクワッドベースのTPSだ。
　現実世界の軍事産業で現在研究が行われている兵器をゲームに登場させるという点が本シリーズの特徴だが，今回のムービーでも，付近の状況を把握するための飛行ドローンやセンサーグレネード，そして視界から自分の姿を消す光学迷彩のスーツなどが紹介されている。新情報こそないが，ゲームプレイのイメージが湧きやすい映像となっているため，一見の価値はあるだろう。


　本作は，元々2010年の発売を目指して開発されていた作品だが，何度かの発売延期を経て，今回の発売発表に至っている。なおPC版は海賊版への対処の問題から開発が見送られており，その代わりに「Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online」というオンライン専用ゲームが，2012年内にもローンチされる見込みだ。
