「Borderlands 2」のDLC第3弾「Mr.Torgue's Campaign of Carnage」発表。惑星パンドラの隅々まで探索可能になりそうな気配

　Gearbox Softwareは，「Borderlands 2」（PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360）のダウンロードコンテンツ第3弾となる「Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage」の制作を発表した。これは，GearboxのTwitterアカウント「ECHOCasts」で報告されたもので，見かけも発言もワイルドなMr. Torgueがツイートを行っている。現時点では，DLCの詳細や配信開始日などは発表されていない。

　Torgueという名前から，Borderlands 2の舞台となる惑星パンドラの武器メーカーの1つ「Torgue Manufacture」を連想する人も多いだろう。同社は「武器を選ぶなら，まず男っぽいかどうかが大切」という筋肉質なモットーと，黒やガンメタルのショットガン，マシンガン，スナイパーガンなどでおなじみだ。
　オーナーのMr. Torgueも随分とアツい男のようで，メクロマンサーが発表されたときには，GearboxのTwitterアカウントをハッキングして（という設定だが），すべて大文字でまくし立てるなど，いかにもBorderlands 2らしいキャラの立った人物だ。


　この発表に合わせて公開されたムービー「Torgue Weapons」でも，Mr. Torgueは大声で叫び続け，「現在，パンドラの90％が未開地。そんなバカなことあってたまるか！」と，DLCの内容のヒントらしき発言をしている。日本での展開も含めて，続報に期待したい。
