日本語版「ボーダーランズ2」発売と同時に，新たなクラス「メクロマンサー」のDLC配信がスタート。予約特典「プレミアクラブ」で無料での入手も可能

　テイクツー・インタラクティブ・ジャパンは本日（2012年10月5日），同社が10月25日に発売を予定している日本語版「ボーダーランズ2」（PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）において，新たなプレイヤーキャラクタークラス「メクロマンサー」（キャラクター名：ゲイジ）を，ダウンロードコンテンツとして提供することを発表した。
　同クラスは，本作を予約購入すると，予約特典「プレミアクラブ」（関連記事）によって無料でダウンロードが可能。PlayStation NetworkおよびXbox LIVEにおいて本編の発売日と同時に配信されるため，予約しなくても単品で購入することもできる（その場合の価格は，PS3版が税込1000円で，Xbox 360版が800マイクロソフトポイント）。


　メクロマンサーは，人間とロボットのスキルを駆使しながらプレイできるキャラクター。彼は，特殊スキル「デストラップ」で巨大ロボットを操る。デストラップは戦車としてゲイジに向けて放たれた銃弾を弾いてくれるほか，ゲイジと中かの銃弾を補充してくれるなどの機能もある。協力プレイでも威力を発揮してくれそうなキャラクターだ。
