「Borderlands 2」の次期拡張パックに6人目のプレイアブルキャラが登場。武器を持たないメレー系クラスか
Gearbox Softwareは，人気アクションRPG「Borderlands 2」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）の次期拡張パックをアメリカ時間の2013年3月24日に正式発表することを明らかにし，ティザートレイラー「Mayhem Approaches」を公開した。
赤でマスクされたおどろおどろしいトレイラーでは，6人目となるプレイアブルキャラクターのシルエットと共に，大きなフォントで「パンドラの地下深くから，ある実験体が逃げ出した。バンディット達よ，注意せよ……。新たなボルトハンターがやって来るぞ」の文字が表示される。どうやら6人目は，“秘密裏に開発されていた人造人間”といった形のキャラクターになる様子だ。
ムービーのタイトルにある“メイハム”（Mayhem） は「乱暴」を意味しており，これがそのままクラス名になる可能性もある。映像に銃器を扱うシーンがないことから，メレーを中心にした戦闘を楽しめるキャラクターになるのかもしれない。
その詳細は，3月22日からマサチューセッツ州・ボストンで開催されるゲームイベント「PAX East」の最終日（24日）に発表されるとのこと。日本時間の25日深夜に情報が公開されるはずだ。
