「Borderlands 2」の世界がファンタジー一色に。DLC第4弾「Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep」が欧米で配信開始＆ローンチトレイラー公開

　Gearbox Softwareの「Borderlands 2」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）において，拡張パック第4弾「Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep」の配信が，欧米で2013年6月25日に開始された。それに合わせて，同DLCのローンチトレイラーが公開されている。


　Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keepは，“爆破魔少女”ことタイニー・ティナがゲームマスター（進行役）となるボードゲーム「Bunkers ＆ Badasses」のファンタジーワールドを，プレイヤーが体験できるという内容だ。このボードゲームは，友人の死を受け入れられないティナの不安定な精神状態を再現したような，突拍子もない空想の世界となっている。この世界を，今回のDLCを通してティナが解説していくような趣向で，ハンサムなソーサラーが，魔法の森で失踪した女王を救出するというストーリーが描かれている。


　パンドラがそのままファンタジーワールドになったような世界設定が興味深いところだが，登場するモンスター達に関しても，バンディッド達がすべてスケレトンに置き換わっていたり，モキシーらお馴染みのNPC達が中世風のコスチュームを身にまとっていたりする。映像からも分かるとおり，銃器も「“着弾すると爆発する剣”を発射するライフル」といったボーダーランズらしい奇抜なものが多い。
　シリーズ史上最大規模だと言われるDLCだけに，日本での展開についても期待したいところだ。
