往年の“バイオ”などに影響を受けたレトロなサバイバルホラー「Ground Zero」，4月17日にリリース決定。デモ版もSteamで配信中

　Kwaleeは本日（2026年4月2日），Malformation Gamesが開発する新作タイトル「Ground Zero」を，PC（Steam）/ PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X|S向けに，日本時間の4月17日にリリースすると発表した。


　本作は，あらゆる生物が怪物へと変貌してしまったポストアポカリプスの韓国を舞台に，モンスターと戦ったり謎を解いたりしながら，裏に隠された真実を暴いていく，サバイバルホラーゲームだ。


　プレイヤーは，韓国の精鋭兵士「ソヨン」として，2か月前に隕石の衝突により崩壊してしまった韓国・釜山の調査へと向かうことになる。しかし，そこには奇怪な有機体が生き残った生命を侵食していく，想像を絶する恐怖が待ち受けていた。


　ソヨンは銃火器を扱えるだけでなく，格闘技術もあり，蹴りやカウンターといった多彩なスキルを持っている。また，敵を倒して入手したポイントを使えば，装備の強化も行えるという。スキルと強力な装備を使いこなし，美しくも荒廃した釜山を探索しよう。


　本作は，往年のサバイバルホラーゲームに影響を受けているとのことで，PlayStation時代の「バイオハザード」シリーズなどを思い起こさせる，固定カメラやプリレンダ背景，ラジコン操作などを特徴としている。

　トレイラーでは，どこか懐かしさを感じさせるレトロなグラフィックスや，グロテスクで不気味なモンスターたちとの戦闘シーンを確認できる。
　Steamにてデモ版が配信されているので，購入を検討している人は，まずはそちらをプレイしてみよう。
