　1999年にリリースされたオープンワールドアクション「Outcast」の約25年ぶりとなる続編タイトル。前作と同じくスレイドが主人公となり，ロボット勢力の侵略を受けるアデルファのタラン人たちの信頼を獲得しながら，彼らの抵抗に協力していくという内容になっている。高い自由度も受け継がれており，多種多様なアイテムを使った武器のアップグレードのほか，ジェットパックを使った高速移動や，隠された神殿や危険な土地を探索が楽しめるという。

　SFアニメ「マクロス」シリーズの完全新作となるスクロールシューティングゲーム。超時空間フォールドに巻き込まれた戦艦「バトル7」を舞台に，シリーズ6作品に登場する歌姫やエースパイロットたち，総勢45人のキャラクターが活躍するオリジナルストーリーが展開される。エリアによって横スクロールや縦スクロール，360度スクロールなどさまざまに変化するのが特徴で，歴代の可変戦闘機（バルキリー）の変形も楽しめるそうだ。
