開発を手がけるCrystal Dynamicsは，2022年4月にEpic Gamesの最新ゲームエンジン「Unreal Engine 5」を採用した新作を開発中であると発表した。

スクウェア・エニックスのグループ会社であるCrystal Dynamicsは，Epic Gamesの最新ゲームエンジン「Unreal Engine 5」の正式リリースを受け，「トゥームレイダー」シリーズの新作開発を発表した。最新グラフィックス技術をふんだんに使った，シネマティックアドベンチャーを実現するとのことだ。
